Finding safe and pleasant student housing for your stay abroad is an essential and exciting part of the next step in your life. Room-for-Rent offers high quality furnished -turn key- apartments for international students. Follow the steps below and find your ideal accommodation in Rotterdam, Delft and Schiedam to stay.
If you know exactly which requirements your student apartment must meet, the more you know which available student accommodation suits you. Ask yourself questions like: With how many housemates do I want to share an apartment? In which part of the city do I want to live? What budget do I want to spend? What facilities must be in the neighborhood of my accommodation?
Our properties are rented out as flatshare apartment, meaning that the entire apartment needs to be rented as opposed to individual rooms. It is therefore key you create a flatgroup. If you are still in your home country, forming a group can be challenging. Fortunately you have several possibilities finding your flatmates on social media. We created a page and gathered some information for you. Just click on this text.
Apply and contact
You are with a group and you all know what apartment(s) you are interested in. Via the ‘apply’ button on the detailed page of the apartment, you easily drop an e-mail, introduce your group and tell us the apartments you opt for. Our desk manager will take care of your application and will contact you by return. Some questions will be provided to your group. Your answers will be shared with the landlord or landlady, as he/she wants to know what group he is renting the property to.
Rental contract | accept | payment
If your application is successful, a draft rental agreement will be made and sent to you for your perusal. If you agree with its contents, the group will sign the contract and the landlord will countersign. Only when the deposit has been paid, there is a valid agreement. You are most welcome on your new address.
Arrival & Check-In
Upon the arrival of the 1st member of your flatgroup at the rent start date or shortly after, we will carry out the check-in procedure, answer any questions there may be, issue all necessary documents and transfer the keys. An e-book, containing all information you need for a quick start in your new accommodation, will be provided. Our desk manager will be there to assist with registration and the utility contract.

A service team at your disposal helping you getting started in your new apartment. During your stay you always stay in contact with the same service manager.
The service team is there to assist you in settling and helping you finding your way in your new city. You have your own service manager for solving defects to the house. An e-book will be available. This is a guideline with information explaining a lot about how things are done in the Netherlands regarding your accommodation. And it includes the general standards and house rules to make your stay enjoyable yet compliant to local residence laws.
For tenants’ safety, we take high responsibility for compliancy with local regulations and laws.
All properties promoted on this platform, have been checked on their compliance with local regulations as to electric systems, heating systems and safety regulations. The landlord with whom you signed the contract is responsible in the end.
After a long trip you only have to unpack your suitcase and you can concentrate on other important things. Your new life can begin!

Maintaining our standard is very important for the services we offer to our tenants. We manage our own portfolio and know all about it. You will receive clear answers to your questions in short notice.
Upon the arrival of the 1st member of your flatgroup, a Room for Rent service manager will carry out the Check-in procedure.
Your service manager is happy answering any questions there may be, issue all necessary documents and transfer the keys.
When the rental agreement is about to expire, a clear check out procedure will be followed and managed by your service manager.
I am sharing the house with 6 other international students. It's a really awesome house, recently renovated and very spacious. I love that we have a living room where we can talk and have friends over. Regarding facilities, there were no challenges, it was easy to share 2 toilets and showers with 7 people and whenever something was not functioning properly, the technicians fixed it in a few days. The fact that we had a mixed group was also nice. Some of us want to continue living together and now we are trying to extend our current contract. The contact with everyone in the landlord's team was very professional and we are happy with the quality of the services. We had a couple of issues with the heating and the internet in the beginning, but these were fixed in a matter of 2-3 days. I think that service manager was very clear in all the communications which made our stay even nicer.
We also were very lucky with the organization of the landlord. He cares about our well-being here. As a finance student, I realize that we payed premium for the place, but in the mean time I definitely felt that we received a return, which made the stay very pleasant.
